Data Sharing Policy

Trends in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (TPB) is committed to a more open research landscape, facilitating faster and more effective research discovery by enabling reproducibility and verification of data, methodology, and reporting standards. We encourage authors of articles published in TPB to share their research data — including, but not limited to, raw data, processed data, software, algorithms, protocols, methods, and materials.

Archiving and Sharing Data

TPB encourages authors to archive the data and other artifacts supporting the results in the paper in an appropriate public repository. Whenever possible, the scripts and other artifacts used to generate the analyses presented in the paper should also be publicly archived. Shared data should be cited.

Data Availability Statement

All accepted manuscripts must include a Data Availability Statement confirming the presence or absence of shared data. Where data have been shared, the statement must:

  • Describe how the data can be accessed.
  • Include a persistent identifier from the repository used (e.g., a DOI for the data, or an accession number).
  • Include a link to the repository used, and a citation for the shared data.

Exceptions

If sharing data would compromise ethical standards or legal requirements, authors are not expected to share it — the Data Availability Statement should note this and briefly explain why.
